To many, The Apartment is the best Christmas film of all time. No one really respects dull office clerk C.C. Baxter (Jack Lemmon) at the insurance company he works for. To climb the corporate ladder he triest o ingratiate himself with his superiors by lending them his apartment for their extramarital trysts. While they have fun, Baxter wanders the streets alone during advent. Baxter has to choose between his ambitions and emotions, when the woman he is secretly in love with, the elevator operator Fran Kubelik (Shirley MacLaine), proves to be the top boss’ lover.
