The Darjeeling Limited
Wes Anderson / US, IN, 2007 / 90 min.
Three American brothers set off on a train journey through India with the intention of “finding themselves and becoming brothers again.” Their spiritual odyssey quickly turns to chaos – partly due to Indian cough syrup. With Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody and Jason Schwartzman.

Wes Anderson is a big fan of the work of Indian filmmaker Satyajit Ray, whose films Eye is screening. In The Darjeeling Limited, dedicated to Ray, Anderson makes use of music from Ray's films, including Charulata. Wes Anderson on Ray: "He is the reason I came to India in the first place, but his films have also inspired all my other movies in different ways."
