Bong Joon-ho / KR, 2006 / 120 min.
Hilarious monster and spectacle film from South Korean director Bong Joon-ho, a box-office smash in South Korea and the US. A dysfunctional family swings into action when one of the children is swallowed by the river monster.

The Park family earn a meagre living selling nicknacks from a little stall next to the heavily polluted Han River in Seoul, South Korea. When their attention is distracted for a moment, a horrific river monster drags their daughter Hyun-seo into the murky depths – right into the innards of the city’s sewer system.
