The Sound of Music
The hills are alive again! This unstoppable musical is now screened in a brand new 70mm print. All the liberal sixties ideals about free love and women’s emancipation notwithstanding, this Hollywood classic about Baron Von Trapp, his seven children and their headstrong governess Maria (Julie Andrews) remained popular deep into the 1970s. Even now – fifty years after the premiere – the film still touches a chord with young and old alike.

This film is shown with a 15-minute intermission
