The TittyMag vs Michael Mann
Women play a subordinate role in the overtly masculine world of filmmaker Michael Mann. Put his oeuvre to the Bechdel test and not one of his films will probably pass. Take Heat (1995) and try not to think of the scene at the roadside diner where the cop played by Al Pacino puts the bank robber played by Robert De Niro on the spot. 'Brother, you are going down.' Mann turns the encounter into a macho contest of epic proportions.

Or is this too simple an observation and is there a lot more to the male and female characters in Mann”s films? Feminist art collective The TittyMag engages guests and audience on the subject of feminism, inclusion and empowerment in their monthly Titty Talks talk show. The theme of the show at Eye is the masculine and feminine tendencies in the oeuvre of the Hollywood director.
