Instead of saving his two children, a sporty Swedish father runs downhill when, during a skiing holiday, his family is caught up in a 'controlled' avalanche. This cowardly reaction unleashes an unforeseen chain of events in Turist – a sharp, observational film from Swedish provocateur Ruben Östlund. As in his previous film Play, the characters are confronted by the worst or most unexpected aspects of themselves.
