In 2123, the earth is a scorched desert without any flora or fauna. People live in cities under protective domes. Because there are no more natural resources left except for water, human beings themselves have become the biggest source of food, and can only live to be 50 years old. Then, a seed is planted in their bodies, which are transformed into trees in special laboratories, providing oxygen and food for the population.

Pre film

Before the screening of White Plastic Sky you will see the short animated film Morning Grass (4') by Alina Milkina. When young Yakob thinks too much about what life will bring in the future, he is visited by an apparition in a field one summer day. The spirit shows him that life is so beautiful, especially in the unconventional.
