Blue Velvet
David Lynch / US, 1986 / 121 min.
In 1986 David Lynch shocked the world with his tale of the dark side of small town America Lumberton. Thirty years later Lynch’s classic proves to be as mysterious and perverse as when it first came out, mostly owing to the memorable performances of Isabella Rosselini and Dennis Hopper.

Lumberton is one of those small towns where family values are upheld. Life goes on at a pleasant, unhurried pace and your neighbours are also your best friends. But this idyll is shattered when teenager Jeffrey Beaumont finds a severed ear in the grass, and sets out to investigate.
