Polly Vandersma (comedian Sheila McCarthy) plays an aspiring photographer who works for am upmarket art gallery in Toronto, run by Gabrielle, whom she is madly in love with, even though she is her exact opposite. In the meantime, Polly loses herself in imaginative daydreams in which she is more self-confident and successful than in reality.
