Satyricon
Federico Fellini / IT, FR, 1969 / 129 min.
Federico Fellini’s flamboyant quest through decadent Rome is (art) historically incorrect, overwhelming thanks to the fire-breathing vulva and moving due to the virtually transparent tiny body of the hermaphrodite.

Fellini descends into depths of decadent Roman society. Myths from antiquity brought to life mixed with contemporary psychedelic experiences. This adaptation of Petronius' satirical moral drama is visually overwhelming. The original story gave Fellini carte blanche to conjure up a heathen cabinet of curiosities primarily revolving around lust.
