Susie (Dakota Johnson) is an ambitious young dancer who travels to Berlin from rural America to dance at the prestigious Markos academy. There the chain-smoking choreographer Madam Blanc (Tilda Swinton) falls head over heels for Susie’s dance skills. While some of the students mysteriously disappear, Susie increasingly falls under Blanc’s spell. The former tries to unravel the academy’s dark secrets with the aid of her new friend Sara.
