Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma

Filmmaker Kris (played by actress/stand-up comedian Hannah Einbinder, Hacks) is commissioned to shoot a ‘high brow’ remake of the cult horror franchise Camp Miasma, slasher films inspired by 1980’s horror. As a hardcore fan, Kris decides to track down the original film’s 'final girl', the reclusive Billy Presley (Gillian Anderson). Curiously, the latter proves to be living at the summer camp the Camp Miasma films were shot at. Kris becomes obsessed with this eccentric, Norma Desmond-like recluse. Using role-playing she manages to get Kris out of her shell and lead her to a psychological and physical catharsis.

Pre-film

Before Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, you will see the short film Gnomes (5') by Ruwan Heggelman. In this imaginative horror short from 2022, a young woman stumbles upon a path full of mysteriously glowing mushrooms during her daily run and accidentally ends up in the home of a tribe of murderous gnomes.
