The Most Beautiful Boy in the World
Kristina Lindström, Kristian Petri / SE, 2021 / 93 min.
Portrait of Björn Andrésen, who passed away recently. This ‘most beautiful boy in the world’ was cast by Visconti as ‘Tadzio’ in his classic film Death in Venice, making a homo-erotic icon of him – but Björn himself felt abused. Andrésen looks back laconically on a chaotic life.

Andrésen’s performance as the mysterious beauty in Visconti’s adaptation of Thomas Mann’s novella Der Tod in Venedig brought him instant stardom, but didn’t make him happy.
