Remake of Lubitsch’s 1942 satire directed by Alan Johnson, the choreographer with whom Brooks frequently collaborated. Brooks and wife Anne Bancroft run a theatre company in Warsaw and are getting ready to resist the Nazis – leading to the most insane situations.

Warsaw, 1939. Frederick and Anna Bronski (Brooks and Bancroft, their first appearance in a film together) are running a headstrong theatre company that is staging the vehemently anti-Hitler satire ‘Naughty Nazis’. When the Nazis occupy Poland, the Bronskis decide to flee to England, but in the meantime become involved with the resistance. Polish officers court femme fatale Anna Bronski, and soon their acts of resistance are taking an inimitable course…
