True Things
Harry Wootliff / GB, 2021 / 102 min.
The sleepy life of a woman changes forever following a toxic sexual encounter. A layered, cleverly acted film by female director Harry Wootliff, with lead roles for Ruth Wilson and Tom Burke (The Souvenir).
In the quiet coastal resort Ramsgate, Kate’s (Ruth Wilson) world is turned upside down by a chance look from a brazen man with dyed blonde hair (another toxic role for Tom Burke, following on from The Souvenir). Just out of prison for minor offences, with all his self-confidence and charm he seduces Kate in a car park. In the weeks that follow, Kate's thoughts are dominated completely by this intoxicating passion.
In Eye and national cinemas.

Screened at prominent national and international festivals, yet never released in Dutch cinemas. Quite unjustly so, Eye Filmmuseum thinks, and so it has once again brought an exceptional selection of films from international festivals to the Netherlands.
