NECSUS

In collaboration with Amsterdam University Press and a number of universities, Eye is cofounder and partner of NECSUS - European Journal of Media Studies.

NECSUS is an international, English-language, peer-reviewed, open-access, online journal that covers film, television and media studies. The initiative is actively supported by NECS (European Network for Cinema and Media Studies), Research School for Media Studies (RMeS), and the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO), which provides financial support.

Published twice a year, the periodical is compiled around themes that have included War, Traces, Animals, Vintage and Small Data. NECSUS encourages authors to use digital archives and audio-visual data and material in their articles. The website structure facilitates interaction, allowing people to post blogs, submit video essays and integrate almost all forms of social media.

NECSUS is published biannually.
