At the animation tables on the stairs leading to Cinema 1 you can use your own telephone and a free app to make your own stop-motion film. Cut out characters, objects or shapes, place these cut-outs on the light box and put your telephone in the holder above it. Move the cut-outs bit by bit and take a photo of each step: you’re making moving images, and a film!

Animated film is a film genre that lets you bring drawn characters, clay models or other non-living objects to life. One of the techniques used to make animated films is stop-motion. Stop-motion films are made by taking lots and lots of photos. When you then (quickly) show all of these photos one after another, it looks like the subject is moving by itself.
