Body Paint

With artist Memo Akten’s installation, located opposite the stairs to the permanent exhibition What is Film?, you can create a colourful animation on the wall by dancing, jumping and moving around. Body Paint is instant filmmaking that translates your movements onto the big screen and lets you decide what the script is.

Memo Akten on Body Paint: ‘We have a natural instinct to express ourselves by means of movement. Body Paint investigates our capacity for non-verbal expressive communication and combines this with our desire to create. And more than that, our desire to create something beautiful.’
