Raccoon and the Light

What happens when a raccoon finds a flashlight in the forest? In Raccoon and the Light, a curious raccoon explores a dark forest with his flashlight. Children will discover that you need light to see, that light creates shadows, and that you can play around with it.

Assignment: shadowplay

Look for or create a dark spot at home. Grab small bicycle lights or a flashlight and play around with them. What happens when you hold small objects or your fingers in front of the light? And what happens when you hold your lights closer, or further away? Play with your own dancing shadows. Talk about what you saw and discovered!
