Wilbert Kannekens, managing partner, Meijburg & Co:

'Eye teaches us to see differently. Our society is constantly in transition. At the same time, society is becoming ever more critical and outspoken. As a leading organisation in the area of fiscal consultancy in the Netherlands, we have to adopt a dynamic approach; we cannot afford to settle into outdated patterns, but have to move with the changes in society and in legislation. Constantly looking at new developments with a fresh gaze: an essential element of good taxation. A main partnership with Eye Filmmuseum’s exhibitions helps us broaden our perspective, while at the same time providing inspiration. Not only for us, but also for society. We look forward to a long and profitable partnership.'

Sandra den Hamer, director, Eye Filmmuseum:

'We are delighted with the main partnership for exhibitions with Meijburg & Co. Now more than ever, it is essential that the commercial sector support and appreciate culture. Meijburg & Co and Eye share a passion for the art of the moving image. The main partnership for our exhibitions provides a stimulus in the fulfilment of our mission: Eye lets you see more. We look forward to a highly inspirational collaboration.'

Eye Filmmuseum

Eye presents three or four exhibitions a year in its large exhibition space. Usually, these exhibitions focus on makers who operate outside of the limitations of the cinema and Hollywood. Ground-breaking artists who investigate the intersections of visual art and cinema.

Eye is a custodian, a pioneer and a guide to the world of film and the art of the moving image. In the Eye Collection Centre beside the River IJ in Amsterdam, the Netherlands’ national film museum manages some fifty thousand films from every conceivable genre: a fascinating overview of the history of film, from classics and blockbusters to cult movies.

Eye keeps pace with current affairs through its programming, exhibitions and events. The museum building is open every day from ten o’clock to anyone interested in film and visual culture, welcoming visitors in four cinemas, an exhibition space, an educational studio, a shop and bar/restaurant.

Eye is renowned around the world for its knowledge and expertise in the fields of film restoration, research and education. The museum’s staff make every effort to fulfil your requirements when it comes to all things film. For young and old, film-lovers and professionals: Eye shines a light, from an ever-shifting perspective, on film as art, amusement and part of our digital visual culture. Eye lets you see more.
