Taartrovers Film Festival 2022

At Taartrovers special children's films are shown for children between two and nine years old. Come and have a look and then dive into Tartrovers' Lab: explore and play with light.
In the first week of the summer holidays, from Saturday 16 July to Friday 22 July, the Taartrovers Film Festival will come to Eye for a week full of fun and wonder.
After the film screening, you can visit the Taartrovers' Lab. Follow your light beam and discover how shapes change when you move. Create a pinball machine and let marbles run wild, move cars in stop motion and hop, skip and jump from one installation to the next. Tired of all the commotion? Lounge away with a story playing in your ears, and only move in your imagination. Thirsty? Collect the most fragrant flowers and leaves and brew your own cup of tea.
Exciting, funny and moving films are shown, a nice addition to the films that children see every day. What they have in common is that the artistic films are made with a lot of love and attention. And you see that. Taartrovers' films connect seamlessly with the perception of young children and allow them to look at the world around them with different eyes. Most of the films have never been seen in cinemas before.
Films & Taartrovers’ Lab
Tickets cost €9 or €1.50 with the Stadspas groene stip. A ticket gets you access to a film screening and, afterwards, to Taartrovers' Lab.
