Under the overarching theme of ‘The Colour Fantastic Revisited: Across Global Histories, Theories, Aesthetics, and Archives’, also the theme of this year's Eye International Conference, scholars and film professionals worldwide present and discuss remarkable archival practices and initiatives around the topic of colour in film.

This is Film! Film Heritage in Practice is an annual public lecture series in collaboration with the University of Amsterdam devoted to notable projects in the fields of film restoration and film heritage, with international guest speakers and film screenings.

The six sessions display a wide array of research and practices from across the globe concerned with the study of colour in film. Together with guests, we explore topics like colour grading and film restoration, treasured colours from 1960s and 1970s Iran, and the colours of small gauge cinema.
