SAIL 2025
From the 20th to the 24th of August Amsterdam will be the backdrop for the grand maritime spectacle SAIL. With our unique location by the IJ river, Eye is the perfect location for your event. From our private terrace your guests have a front-row view of all the impressive ships sailing by.
A special anniversary year
In celebration of Amsterdam’s 750th anniversary the 10th edition of SAIL promises to be a particularly memorable event. The IJ river will be the decor for over 10.000 ships, a variety of public activities and several firework shows. The absolute highlights of this edition are the SAIL-In Parade (20th of August) and the SAIL-Out Parade (24th of August), when all the vessels and tallships pass by, creating a fascinating spectacle.
Exclusive experience
Experience the 10th edition of SAIL Amsterdam from Eye’s private terrace and from our beautiful private event spaces. You and your guests are first welcomed with a glass of bubbly. Then, relax and enjoy the panoramic view with thousands of ships passing by and the fireworks show from the neighboring A’DAM Tower. Your event is fully taken care of. Just enjoy the atmosphere, music, view and one of our delicious dinner packages. Right by the water, this is the ultimate location for your event.
The Eye terrace and event spaces
During SAIL there will be a private terrace by the quay, which will be accessible from both the IJ-Lounge and Waterfront. The terrace will be elevated to ensure perfect views of the water. For groups of up to 150 guests both spaces can be combined. For smaller groups you can choose either the IJ-Lounge or the Waterfront. Our spaces are perfect for anyone who wants to experience SAIL in an intimate and sleek setting.
After the ships have arrived in Amsterdam on Wednesday afternoon they will dock at different locations in Amsterdam. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday the vessels can be admired and different activities will take place in the city. Every night will end with a unique fireworks show from the A’DAM Tower. Our private terrace is the best location to experience this. The SAIL-Out Parade on Sunday, when all ships will depart the city via the IJ, promises to be a spectacular event.

Each of the aforementioned packages can be enriched with extras, depending on the ambiance of your event. For example, add a delicious bottle of champagne or a stylish cocktail bar. To end the evening you can select a tempting dessert buffet with various cakes and confections.
