FC Waterboys

Alongside its public support programmes, Eye has a number of private circles for those who wish to commit personally to the film museum's mission. FC Waterboys is one such example: a group of directors, entrepreneurs, decision-makers in the cultural sector, and film enthusiasts who work together in support of the lasting value of film and art.

Why FC Waterboys?

Three times a year, there are curated gatherings offering the opportunity for deeper engagement. What is happening at Eye, and a shared passion for cinema, are always the starting point. Two of these gatherings are exclusive dinners paired with a private screening; the third is a bespoke evening built around a public screening, with the film selected by FC Waterboys.

Meaningful involvement

FC Waterboys was founded in 2017 by former chairs of the Supervisory Board; Alexander Rinnooy Kan and Sijbolt Noorda. The club now has more than fifty members, forms a valuable network, and is an active contributor to the museum's future.

Membership is closely linked to the U&Eye Fund, through which members contribute directly to specific Eye activities, such as the management and restoration of the film collection, innovative educational projects, and support for new (film) talent.

Discover the circle

Access to FC Waterboys is by invitation. If you recognise your own views on film and cinema in Eye's approach, we would welcome a conversation to explore whether there's a match between your interests and FC Waterboys.
