Belle gradually becomes aware of a painful event from her family'spast. Dream and reality intersect in this gripping tale from directing duo Maartje Seyferth and Victor Nieuwenhuijs, who this year celebrate 40 years of creative collaboration.
Belle lives in a tiny rural hamlet, where she is able to cycle, carefree, through the deserted cornfields. When her aunt, with whom she lives, dies this sets off a train of events that make the young woman aware of a shameful incident from the past that still resonates in the present.
