Le bonheur
Agnès Varda / FR, 1965 / 81 min.
François, a happily married carpenter, falls in love with a young woman. Strangely enough, the affair strengthens his feelings for his wife and child. Agnès Varda’s portrait of family life, set to the music of Mozart, raises questions about the concept of monogamy.

Despite being happily married to kindly Thérèse (Claire Drouot), who makes clothes from home, young father François (Jean-Claude Drouot) embarks on an affair with a postal worker. He hopes this will make him even happier, including with his own family, but his adventure inevitably comes at a price.
