Mulholland Drive
David Lynch / FR, US, 2001 / 146 min.
In the surreal Mulholland Drive, a young blonde woman (Naomi Watts) arrives in the big city hoping to make it as an actress. She meets a brunette (Laura Harring), who appears to suffer from amnesia. In honour of David Lynch, who would have turned 80 this month.

Supervised by a filmmaker, the woman becomes embroiled in a web of semi-criminal film moguls. Gradually, two Hollywood archetypes (blond and brunette) lose themselves, reality and their dreams, eliciting the question what reality actually entails in a city that professionally produces dreams for the big screen.
