A wild, over the top ride through 1930s Mississippi loosely based on Homer’s Odyssey. Three escaped convicts (George Clooney, Tim Blake Nelson and John Turturro) take a hilarious trip through the United States’ political and musical myths.
As we are accustomed to from the Coen Brothers, their wild comedy filmed in wide format, is replete with colourful characters and hilarious scenes and features a memorable soundtrack by T Bone Burnett with plenty of bluegrass, gospel and country. Vain Ulysses Everett McGill (George Clooney with hairnet) and his co-conspirators are on the run (Tim Blake Nelson and John Turturro) trying to find the lost proceeds of a bank robbery whilst being hounded by a merciless cop.
