Each year, a group of about sixteen international students attend (guest) lectures by Eye staff members, and at least three internships are offered in various departments at Eye. These internships allow students to gain practical experience under the supervision of experienced curators, restorers and digital film specialists. The internship programme is made possible in part by the Gieskes-Strijbis Fund.

In 2018 the Master’s programme Preservation and Presentation of the Moving Image will have existed for fifteen years. To celebrate this milestone, the 2018 Eye International Conference will focus exclusively on this programme. By now, more than 150 individuals have graduated from the master and are active in museums, archives and universities all over the world.
