Guest Lesson Series Film Special

A film programme specially tailored to the needs and wishes of your class! Together with an experienced guest teacher from Eye, students dive into the world of film. At school and in a film theatre in their neighbourhood.

Content

Film Special consists of 3 to 5 lessons watching unique, funny and accessible short films. From the latest award-winning animated films to films dating back a century. With viewing and hands-on assignments students talk about what they see, how film affects them, how films are made and discover the difference between films of the past and present.

To round up the lesson series, the entire class visits a real cinema. Together with the guest teacher, students watch the best short films on the big screen. This visit can take place at the Eye Filmmuseum or a movie theatre near your school.

Very suitable for special needs education

This lesson series was developed in close cooperation with two special needs education schools. A deliberate choice was made for a series of lessons so that students get to know the guest teacher and vice versa. Each guest teacher of Eye has extensive experience with special needs education.

To get a good picture of your class, we will schedule a talk with you in advance. Based on the conversation, we will tailor the scope, focus and format of the lessons to your class.

The lessons at school take 60 minutes per lesson
The film programme in the theatre takes 1 hour and 30 minutes
