How to get there

Eye is directly opposite Amsterdam Central Station and is easily reached by public transport from Amsterdam Central Station using the ferry. Should you wish to come by car, there are parking spaces available.

Public transport

Eye is directly opposite Amsterdam Central Station. When arriving at Amsterdam Central Station, take the exit to IJzijde (IJ bank) to take a ferry.

Ferry

Take the ferry in the direction of Buiksloterweg (line F3). The 24/7 ferry service is free and leaves every few minutes. The ferry ride takes approximately three minutes. Eye is located on your left and is a three-minute walk as you arrive in Amsterdam Noord.

Mopeds/scooters

Eye Filmmuseum is located on IJpromenade, a cycling and pedestrian path where mopeds and scooters are not allowed. Please remember to park them before the bridge across the canal.

Car route and parking

Eye is easily reached by public transport from Amsterdam Central Station using the ferry. Should you wish to come by car, please set your GPS to Overhoeksplein 1. The A'DAM Tower car park is at the end of Céramiquelaan.

Disabled parking places

There are two disabled parking spaces in the A'DAM Tower car park. We advise you to take the A'DAM Tower exit when leaving the car park, which has a wheelchair-friendly automatic outside door.

Please note

The area around the car park may be difficult to access due to construction activities. We advise you to follow the temporary yellow traffic diversion signs to avoid unnecessary detours. Before you set off on your journey, check for roadworks.

Eye Collection Centre

Eye Collection Centre is located in the Buiksloterham district in Amsterdam North, at Asterweg 26.

When you arrive at Central Station, take the exit on the IJ side, from there the ferries depart.

From the ferry, the Collection Centre is a 15-20 minute walk, or about 5 minutes by bike. Walk or cycle past Eye Filmmuseum via Overhoeksparklaan, Bundlaan, Grasweg to Asterweg. The Collection Centre is located halfway between the Grasweg and Distelweg stops of bus 38.

When travelling by moped/scooter, go straight from the ferry onto Buiksloterweg, Ranonkelkade. Take the first left over the canal and then turn right onto Docklandsweg which becomes Asterweg. When travelling by car, enter Asterweg 26 in your GPS. You can park on the street.
