Travel Grant Subsidy – Pilot Version 2024
To receive a travel grant, the following conditions must be met
- The application relates to a festival visit by the director and/or producer of the film in question.
- The invitation was extended by a festival listed on the SEE NL Travel Grant List.
- The festival has extended an official invitation and offers at least one of the invitees (either director or producer) at least 3 nights of accommodation.
- The travel grant scheme applies only to Dutch productions or Dutch majority co-productions. A modified scheme applies to minority feature co-productions. Please contact SEE NL for information on the latter.
- Per festival, a maximum of two travel grants per film can be applied for (1x director, 1x producer).
- Each year, it is possible to apply for travel grants for up to two festivals per film.
- Applications are preferably submitted at least four weeks before the start of the festival.
- Applications are made by email and should include the official festival invitation, which also confirms the number of nights of accommodation offered.
- If an application is made for both a director and a producer, it should be made in one single application.
Other terms and conditions
- SEE NL encourages taking more sustainable forms of travel. Going to a destination by train is awarded a sustainability bonus of €50, to be added to the invoice. This entails a declaration of 2/3 of the ticket price + €50, up to the maximum payable amount (see below for maximum payable amounts).
- Costs for additional public transport and/or taxi fares at the destination cannot be claimed.
- Costs incurred for making ticket changes and cancellations cannot be claimed either.
- If the destination is in Europe and you travel by car, we offer a mileage allowance of €0.21 per km. The maximum claimable amount remains equal to the promised contribution.
- The costs may not have already been reimbursed in any other way by SEE NL or third parties.
