As a means of promoting Dutch films abroad, directors (and sometimes lead actors) are invited to attend screenings of their film at festivals. SEE NL is able to contribute some of the travel expenses to a number of selected festivals. Submit a request for this contribution ahead of time to Erik Mund.
A travel grant must comply with the following conditions:
- The travel subsidy request relates to a festival visit by the selected film’s director.
- The invitation is from a festival included in the SEE NL Travel Grant List.
- The festival has sent an official invitation and is offering at least 3 nights at a hotel/accommodation.
- The official invitation of the festival (including the accommodation confirmation) needs to be enclosed to the application.
- The travel subsidy only applies to Dutch productions or Dutch majority coproductions. The subsidy does not apply to minority coproductions.
- Per film only one travel grant may be requested per festival.
- Please submit a request for a travel subsidy at least four weeks prior to the start of the festival.
