Carl Theodor Dreyer adapted the classic Greek myth of Jupiter and Ganymede into a love triangle between aging artist Zoret, his model Mikaël and Princess Zamikoff, an aristocratic femme fatale who is as captivated by Mikaël’s youthful beauty as Zoret is.
