Choose the Film

If you get to pick which film you want to watch, which one would you choose and why? Animations, documentaries, really old or really funny films? Does everyone like the same films or the complete opposite? During Choose the Film the class get to draw up their own film programme. This teaches them to watch even better and helps them discover special types of film.

Active

This short film programme consists of a very diverse range of animation and live-action films. Together with a museum educator, the pupils will examine the films screened using active watching questions. The pupils will also participate actively. For instance, they will discover that acting in a slapstick film can be pretty difficult.

Visual language

Thanks to the museum educator’s playful assignments, the pupils become conscious of visual language. They are used to watching a film and thinking about the story, but if you look at it in more detail, what do you see then? Pupils learn to watch even better thanks to watching questions, active assignments, and dialogue: an indispensable skill in today’s world.
