Autumn holidays in Eye

During the autumn break, enjoy daily viewing and creating fun for the whole family. Take an acting workshop or create your own animated film, come watch and play during Cinemini, discover the power of your eyes with Mission Super Eyes, or join the free walk-in activity.

Free activity: Collage animation video

Cut out figures, place them on the animation table, and bring them to life with stop-motion. With help from a museum educator and your smartphone, you’ll create your own animated film in just 30 minutes.

Workshop: Create your own mosaic film! (6+)

Create your own animation film using mosaic stones, light, colour and stop-motion. Build luminous patterns, create pixelated figures and bring them to life with animation.

Workshop: Become what you wear! (8+)

In this playful acting workshop for children, you and an actor will discover how an outfit can instantly transform you into someone else!

During this family workshop – preceded by an exciting selection of four short animations from Eye’s collection – you make your own flipbook. Enter a world full of colour and sound!

Teken je eigen filmstrook

Discover the magic of cinema with these six, short animations. After this programme, children can make their own 16 mm film by manipulating film strips.

Cinemini: watch & play (2+)

During the holidays there is Cinemini for toddlers and preschoolers every morning in the enchanting Cinemini cinema. Enjoy beautiful films and then play in a light landscape.

Discovery route for families

For children from 4 to 12 years old and their parents or supervisors, Mission Super Eyes is a discovery route criss-crossing the museum building.

Children's screenings

During the autumn holidays, you can see the most beautiful children's films every day in the four rooms of Eye. With the Stadspas green dot, you pay €2.00 for a movie ticket.

At the animation tables on the stairs leading to Cinema 1 you can use your own telephone and a free app to make your own stop-motion film.
