Create your own kaleidoscope or stereoscope, draw with light in a free walk-in workshop, watch the special film edition of Lampje, make sound effects at Filmmagie, or explore the power of your eyes with the Mission Super Eyes discovery tour (always free for ages 17 and under).

Special Film Edition of Lampje (6+)

A must-see for all Lampje fans! Watch the special, newly edited film version of Annet Schaap’s beautiful book on the big screen. The family film Bouwdorp, by the same maker - Margien Rogaar - can now also be seen in Eye.

Free walk-in activity: Drawing with light (6+)

Follow the light to the studio and take part in the free walk-in activity on 3 May between 13:30 and 16:00. Build your own flashlight and use it to create light drawings on the big screen.

Filmmagie: Maak jouw geluid bij film

Filmmagie: Create sound for film (6+)

After short films from the collection, get loud in the cinema. What does fire sound like? What sound does a slide make? Create the craziest sound effects for a film scene.

Discover shapes and colours and make a cool light show with your own kaleidoscope.

Workshop Stereoscope (6+)

In this workshop we will dive into old film techniques together. After a short visit to the exhibition 'What is film?', you will build your own stereoscope.

Discovery route & free walk-in activity (4+)

Set off on an adventure through the museum. Free up to 17 years. Join the free walk-in activity on 30 April (13:30-16:00) and create your own animation.

Cinemini: watch & play (2+)

During the holidays there is Cinemini for toddlers and preschoolers every morning in the enchanting Cinemini cinema. Enjoy beautiful films and then play in a light landscape.

Children's screenings

You can see the best children's films on Eye's four screens: every Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday and daily during the school holidays.

Make a flipbook

Play the leading role in your own mini film: make a flip book in the Flipbook Machine in Eye. Part of the exhibition What is Film.

Audio benches

Take a seat on the audio benches in Eye Filmmuseum and listen to Hiba's cheerful story about voice acting in the film Knor. To be found at the top of the stairs.

Create your own animation

Make a stop-motion video for free on the animation tables with your own phone. On 28 & 30 Dec and 2 & 3 Jan between 14:00-16:00, a professional animator will help you get started.
