Phantom Kino Ballett- Lena Willikens & Sarah Szczesny: Filmscreening & Talk by Dekmantel
Dekmantel is hosting several free talks at Eye Filmmuseum during Dekmantel Festival 2018, in happy cooperation with Resident Advisor. They've invited many beloved artists from the festival to dig deeper within the music culture Dekmantel is so fond of. Furthermore, they've once again teamed up with RE:VIVE for a special collaboration with upsammy, Parrish Smith, Jordan GCZ and Suzanne Kraft, and will screen two films by Tangerine Dream and Phantom Kino Ballett.

Phantom Kino Ballett is an audiovisual drama by Lena Willikens and Sarah Szczesny. On stage the artists perform a hallucinogenic audio mix to an experimental music video, combining quotations of movie scenes, interview extracts and spoken word with painting and collage in motion and including club references like strobe lighting and smoke machine. Phantom Kino Ballett is sound fragment and black theatre, Holly Woodlawn”s nervous breakdowns, Taros arpeggiated anime, Mario Montez' mobilee, Maria Callas' chiffre and Anna Oppermann's eyelashes. During Dekmantel Festival's Thursday, Lena Willikens & Sarah Szczesny will screen the official film from their performance at Eye Filmmuseum and will discuss the project with the public.
